Our end goal for this project was to develop an app using the grant received from the Mozilla Foundation. The app would be able to help reduce Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) readmission rates by tracking key components like dieting and exercise as well as other components.
I'll admit I am not an app developer but this project was big, it incorporated students from each strand of the the NorthlandCAPS program. I helped develop a survey that the patients would take in order to get information on the market we were targeting for this app. I also took part in developing our final pitch. During the project there was a event called the Global UP Summit. A couple of the fellow associates and I attended and were schedule to present. We had no plan or pitch on what we were going to do, actually now that I look back on it, I don't think we even knew that we were actually presenting. During this time of panic I stepped up and quickly created a pitch for that event.
We developed an app that would track diet, exercise, and if you have taken your medication. Once developed we presented our solution at the Sprint Accelerator. This project was one of my first health related projects and I'm impressed with the skill sets we all obtained from it.
